The objects of the study were to known the performance of disaster mitigation
including problems and obstacles for guideline the method of disaster mitigation developments of
Royal Thai Armed Forces. This research was a Qualitative research by collecting data from
documents and in-depth interviews.
It was found that Royal Thai Armed Forces had all equipments sufficient to perform
the duty, forces had proud to be part of the disaster mitigation and frequently had exercises with in
organization and with others organization. The problem and obstacle was Royal Thai Armed
Forces had not had a unit to take responsibility of the disaster mitigation. The lack of join
communication also the big barrier while on duty.
The Methods of Disaster Mitigation Developments were set up new unit to be
administrated. Second, strengthening forces by in house exercises and among disaster mitigation
organizations. Finally, had a disaster mitigation plans for either normal situation or crisis
situation.
