The Royal Thai Army (RTA) has a lot of ammunitions (Class 5) in
charged. One of them was kept in RTA's armory, support unit in the areas and using
unit. The other was used a great number of them for the Training, the National Defense
and Counter - Insurgency in Southern Thailand therefore they may be the reason of
weakness to control all of them. This research is the qualitative research that
interviewed from commanders and ammunition officers. By the objectives to study and
analyze the procedure for support ammunitions supplies. Including suggest a concept
of the control measure and especially, learning about the ammunition control (Except
Chemicals) from 7th Infantry Division's Unit, Military Circle, Military District and 3rd
Army Support Command. It'll make suggestions as follows.
1. Ammunitions officer and Committees have to learn more clearly with
procedures about it and be correct as well as educate the subordinates to have an idea
of conscious.
2. All the level of commanders must monitor the Class 5 supply seriously and
closely. Especially, they must have Class 5 control account which was checked
suddenly and correctly.
3. Ordnance Department resolves these relative directives, regulations more
concise as well as rush to make more marking on ammunitions and explosives.
4. RTA considers increase in ammunitions credit for sufficient exercise follow
by the yearly plan and RTA's inspection teams verify for the control of the Class 5.
