Title : Approach to the Development of Pathumthani Model Project

Pathumthani Province pays attention to amend the canal encroachment problem by
16 communities or 1,084 households in the area of Khlong 1. Ministry of Social Development and
Human Security has joined with Pathumthani Province and relevant authorities drive these operations
called "Pathumthani Model- to reduce inequality and to make a fair society.
The research objectives are study the overview of housing inequality, analyze the
problems and achievements of Pathumthani Model and guideline the development and solution of
housing problems in Pathum Thani province. The methods of this research are a qualitative research and
a descriptive research. Besides, there are interviews relevant authorities as well.
Pathumthani Model integrates all relevant authorities in order to develop residential area
and rise in quality of life, although some people don3t believe in this project. In my opinion, the
government must realize community and well-being. Long term development should relate to economic
and social conditions. The government should offer the various housing solutions and positive
public relations. In addition, this project should have improvement activity and study establishing
a community fund.
