This research is a new study of the prevention of cervical cancer in Thailand to be
more effective as a guide for defining public health policy of the country. The duration of study is
from November 2016 to July 2017. The researcher uses Qualitative Approach. The results show
that before 2005. Thai women receive cervical cancer screening 20-25% most of the causes from
lack of knowledge and not aware of the importance of screening including inaccessibility. After
2009 Ministry of Health and National Health Security Office has announced a national policy to
reduce cervical cancer by 50% within 10 years (2009-2018) by increasing the screening rate for
women aged 30-60 years to 80% within 5 years. In 2010, the rate of cervical cancer screening
increased to 80% but the coverage is still very low due to technical issues and limitations of
screening causes of cervical cancer rate is second but the death rate is the highest. Cervical cancer
is caused by HPV virus infection this can be prevented. Because the body can get rid of the
infection itself. If the body is strong and immune but there is no part where the infection is
eliminated. Still in us and develops abnormal cells, even cancer. Screening will help diagnose
cancer cells. Researchers expect the number of cervical cancer patients to drop to nearly no
incidence of cervical cancer. Expect to have law on cervical cancer prevention.
