This qualitative research has the following objectives: 1) To study the
context, problems and obstacles in preventing and solving drug problems of
communities in the area of responsibility of Provincial Police Region 6. 2) To study the
elements and success factors in managing drug problems by communities in the area
of responsibility of Provincial Police Region 6 . 3) To present the best practices for
preventing and solving drug problems sustainably in the area of responsibility of
Provincial Police Region 6. The method in this research is content analysis from in-
depth interviews and academic documents. From the results of the study, the
researcher recommends the following: Provincial police stations that are responsible
for implementing the project should build faith and acceptance from people in the
community. Creating network partners within the community and outside the
community in order to raise the level of problem management. Selection of model
communities with best practices in preventing and solving drug problems and has
been expanded to make the model community a source of learning. Continuous
operations of network partners by adhering to the principle that the community
should think together, should act together, should examine together and should solve
the problem holistically. These things can create sustainability in preventing and
solving drug problems.
