กัมพูชาเป นประเทศเพื ่อนบานของไทยที ่ม ีพรมแดนติดต อก ัน ม ีความใกล ชิด
ทางวัฒนธรรม แตความสัมพันธไทย - กัมพูชา กลับไมราบรื่น เนื่องจากยังคงมีความขัดแยงกันอยู
เรื่อยมา ผูศึกษาจึงมีความสนใจที่จะศึกษาและวิเคราะห ถึงปจจัยตาง ๆ ที่จะนำไปสูความขัดแยง
ดานความสัมพันธระหวางประเทศของทั้งสองประเทศ เพื่อหา แนวทางการแกไขปญหาลดความ
ขัดแยงและเสริมสรางความสัมพันธอันดีระหวางสองประเทศอยางม่ันคงและยั่งยืน
ผูวิจัยไดใชวิธีการศึกษาวิจัยเชิงพรรณนา โดยศึกษาจากเอกสาร หนังสือ ที่นาเชื ่อถือ
และอางอิงได รวมทั้ง ขอมูลท่ีไดจากการสัมภาษณผูทรงคุณวุฒิที่มีความรูและประสบการณเกี่ยวกับ
ความสัมพันธ ไทย - กัมพูชา จำนวน ๓ ทาน ซ่ึงผลการวิจัยสรุปไดวา ปจจัยท่ีเปนสาเหตุใหเกิดปญหา
ความขัดแยงที่สงผลกระทบตอความสัมพันธระหวาง ไทย - กัมพูชา นับแตอดีตจนถึงปจจุบัน มาจาก
เหตุผลทางประวัติศาสตรที่มีอิทธิพลตอความเชื่อและการรับรูของชาวกัมพูชา เหตุผลทางวัฒนธรรม
ท่ีชาวกัมพูชาบางกลุมเกรงวาการเผยแพรวัฒนธรรมของไทยที่มากับสื่อตาง ๆ จะเปนการครอบงำ
ทางวัฒนธรรมตอชาวกัมพูชา เหตุผลทางการเมือง โดยเฉพาะการตอสูและความขัดแยงทางการเมือง
ระหวางกลุ มพรรคการเมืองในกัมพูชา มักจะมีเหตุการณความไมสงบเกิดขึ ้น และมักใชไทย
เขาไปเก่ียวของ ในประเด็นทางการเมือง สรางความรูสึกตอชาวกัมพูชาวาไทยเอารัดเอาเปรียบในเรื่อง
เสนเขตแดน และเหตุผลทางเศรษฐกิจ ซึ่งหลายชาติรวมทั้งไทยเขาไปลงทุนและทำการคากับกัมพูชา
เพื่อเอาประโยชนสวนแบงจากการลงทุนและการคาในความอุดมสมบูรณของทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ
กัมพูชาอยางเต็มที่โดยขาดการชวยเหลือ และการพัฒนา ซึ่งกัมพูชามองวาเปนการเอารัดเอาเปรียบ
ทางเศรษฐกิจ โดยแนวทางการแกไขปญหาความขัดแยงเหลานี้คือ รัฐบาลไทยจะตองเรงเสริมสราง
ความสัมพันธอันดีกับรัฐบาลกัมพูชาอยางจริงจัง โดยยึดหลักพึ ่งพาอาศัยซึ ่งกันและกัน รวมท้ัง
การมีผลประโยชนร วมกันของทั ้งสองประเทศ เสริมสรางความสัมพันธที ่ย ั ่งยืนระหวางบุคคล
และหนวยงานในทุกระดับ โดยเฉพาะหนวยงานทหาร ที่มีบทบาทอยางมากที่มีสวนในการพัฒนา
ความสัมพันธของท้ังสองประเทศอยางม่ันคง และยั่งยืน

Abstract
Title Study the trends and factors leading to conflicts in
the relationship between Thailand and Cambodia

Cambodia is a neighboring country to Thailand, sharing a common border
and close cultural ties. However, the relationship between Thailand and Cambodia
has not been smooth, as ongoing conflicts persist. The researcher is interested in
studying and analyzing the factors that lead to conflicts in international relations
between the two countries. The aim is to identify strategies to mitigate conflicts and
foster a stable and sustainable relationship between Thailand and Cambodia.
The researcher employed a descriptive research methodology, studying
credible and referable documents and books, as well as information obtained from
interviews with three experts who have knowledge and experience regarding Thai-
Cambodian relations. The research findings conclude that the factors causing conflicts
that impact Thai-Cambodian relations, from the past to the present, include historical
reasons influencing Cambodian beliefs and perceptions, cultural reasons where some
Cambodians fear that Thai cultural dissemination through various media could
dominate Cambodian culture, and political reasons, particularly the conflicts and
unrest resulting from the struggle between political parties in Cambodia, often
involving Thailand in political issues, thereby creating a perception among Cambodians
that Thailand exploits border issues. Additionally, economic reasons play a role, as
several countries, including Thailand, invest and do business in Cambodia to fully
benefit from Cambodia’s abundant natural resources without sufficient assistance and
development, leading to a perception among Cambodians of economic exploitation.
To resolve these conflicts, the Thai government must promptly and earnestly foster a
good relationship with the Cambodian government based on mutual dependence
and shared interests of both countries. Efforts should be focused on building
sustainable relationships at all levels, from individuals to organizations. Particularly,
the military agencies play a significant role in developing a stable and sustainable
relationship between the two countries.
