Abstract Title : Indonesia's Non-Traditional Security in Efforts to Increase Cooperation with Asean Countries Field : Strategy Name : Colonel Hendi Suhendi Course: NDC Class 65 This study examines Indonesia's efforts to enhance cooperation with ASEAN countries in addressing non-traditional security issues. Non traditional security challenges, such as health security, environmental security, climate security, cyber security, maritime security, disaster management, counterterrorism, and other transnational crimes are becoming increasingly significant in the ASEAN region. By prioritizing these areas, Indonesia aims to assess and analyze the level of non traditional threats in the ASEAN region, assess the effectiveness of Indonesia's State Defense Program in tackling Non-Traditional Threats, and provide recommendations and inputs to address Non-Traditional Threats among ASEAN members. This study explores the policies and measures taken by Indonesia to address non-traditional security threats and analyzes their effectiveness in promoting cooperation in ASEAN. It investigates the strategies used by Indonesia in addressing these challenges and assesses the outcomes and benefits of such cooperation. Through a comprehensive analysis of Indonesia's approach to non-traditional security and its impact on regional cooperation, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of Indonesia's role in strengthening cooperation with ASEAN countries. By highlighting the importance of non-traditional security cooperation in the ASEAN context, this study ii provides insight into the potential benefits and challenges associated with Indonesia's efforts to enhance regional cooperation. The findings of this research are based on a thorough literature review, documents both books and journal publications related to the relevant case studies, as well as interviews with relevant parties. The analysis highlights the importance of non-traditional security issues in shaping Indonesia's cooperation with ASEAN countries and underlines the importance of collective action in addressing common challenges. Ultimately, this research aims to contribute to the existing body of knowledge on non-traditional security cooperation in ASEAN and provide valuable insights to policymakers and researchers on the potential for increased cooperation in these areas.iii
