Cooperation with Asean Countries
Field : Strategy
Name : Colonel Hendi Suhendi Course: NDC Class 65
This study examines Indonesia's efforts to enhance cooperation
with ASEAN countries in addressing non-traditional security issues. Non traditional security challenges, such as health security, environmental
security, climate security, cyber security, maritime security, disaster
management, counterterrorism, and other transnational crimes are
becoming increasingly significant in the ASEAN region. By prioritizing
these areas, Indonesia aims to assess and analyze the level of non traditional threats in the ASEAN region, assess the effectiveness of
Indonesia's State Defense Program in tackling Non-Traditional Threats,
and provide recommendations and inputs to address Non-Traditional
Threats among ASEAN members.
This study explores the policies and measures taken by
Indonesia to address non-traditional security threats and analyzes their
effectiveness in promoting cooperation in ASEAN. It investigates the
strategies used by Indonesia in addressing these challenges and assesses
the outcomes and benefits of such cooperation.
Through a comprehensive analysis of Indonesia's approach to
non-traditional security and its impact on regional cooperation, this study
contributes to a deeper understanding of Indonesia's role in strengthening
cooperation with ASEAN countries. By highlighting the importance of
non-traditional security cooperation in the ASEAN context, this study ii
provides insight into the potential benefits and challenges associated with
Indonesia's efforts to enhance regional cooperation.
The findings of this research are based on a thorough literature
review, documents both books and journal publications related to the
relevant case studies, as well as interviews with relevant parties. The
analysis highlights the importance of non-traditional security issues in
shaping Indonesia's cooperation with ASEAN countries and underlines
the importance of collective action in addressing common challenges.
Ultimately, this research aims to contribute to the existing body
of knowledge on non-traditional security cooperation in ASEAN and
provide valuable insights to policymakers and researchers on the potential
for increased cooperation in these areas.iii
