การวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ ( Qualitative Research ) มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา
การจัดการปัญหาช้างป่าที่เหมาะสมและเพื่อเสนอแนวทางการจัดการปัญหาช้างป่า ตำบลทับไทร
อำเภอโป่งน้ำร้อน จังหวัดจันทบุรี โดยศึกษาค้นคว้าจากแนวคิด ทฤษฎี และงานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง แล้ว
นำมาวิเคราะห์ ออกแบบเครื่องมือวิจัย ได้แก่การสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก ( In – Depth Interview ) การ
รวบรวมข้อมูลจากเอกสาร ( Documents ) ในลักษณะ( Documentary Research ) กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่
ให้ข้อมูล ( In – Depth Interview ) เป็นการเลือกแบบเจาะจง ประกอบด้วยผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิที่มีความรู้
และประสบการณ์ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการจัดการปัญหาช้างป่าทั้งในและนอกพื้นที่ ตำบลทับไทร อำเภอโป่ง
น้ำร้อน จังหวัดจันทบุรี จำนวน ๕ ท่าน เพื่อให้ข้อมูลครอบคลุมประเด็นการวิจัย การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิง
ลึก ( In – Depth Interview ) การรวบรวมข้อมูลจากเอกสาร ( Documents ) วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการ
สังเคราะห์เนื้อหาด้วยการจัดหมวดหมู่ และจัดลำดับรายประเด็น และนำมาเขียนเรียบเรียง
ผลการวิจัยพบว่า การบุกรุกทำลายป่าเพื่อนำที่ดินมาทำการเพาะปลูกพืชทางการเกษตร
และการเพิ่มจำนวนของช้างป่าเป็นปัจจัยหลักที่เป็นสาเหตุทำให้ช้างป่าออกมาหากินในพื้นที่ทำกินของ
ชาวบ้าน ตำบลทับไทร อำเภอโป่งน้ำร้อน จังหวัดจันทบุรี สำหรับแนวทางการจัดการปัญหาช้างป่า เพื่อ
การอยู่ร่วมกันอย่างยั่งยืนระหว่างคนกับช้างป่า ตำบลทับไทร แบ่งได้เป็น ๒ ระดับ คือ แนวทางการ
จัดการปัญหาช้างป่าระยะสั้น ด้วยการขุดคูกั้นช้าง การสร้างรั้วสลิงกั้นช้าง การสร้างแหล่งน้ำแหล่ง
อาหารในพื้นที่เขตป่าให้เพียงพอต่อการดำรงชีวิตของช้างป่า และแนวทางการจัดการปัญหาช้างป่าระยะ
ยาว ด้วยการวางแผนการใช้ประโยชน์ที่ดิน การเคลื่อนย้ายช้างป่าออกจากพื้นที่ที่มีประชากรช้างป่า
หนาแน่น การยับยั้งการบุกรุกทำลายป่า การจัดตั้งคณะทำงานเพื่อจัดการปัญหาช้างป่าโดยตรงโดยมี
หน่วยงานของรัฐเป็นหน่วยงานรับผิดชอบหลักในการจัดการปัญหาดังกล่าวข

This research is a qualitative research aimed to study the proper
management of wild elephants problems and to propose guidelines for the
management of wild elephants in the Tabsai Subdistrict, Pongnamron District,
Chantaburi Province by studying the concepts, theories and related research and then
analyze them for design. Research tools, including in-depth interviews, data collection
from documents in the form of research documents A sample that provides
information is a specific selection consisting of experts with knowledge and experience
related to the management of wild elephants in and outside the area of Tapsai
Subdistrict, Pongnamron district, Chantaburi Province. In-depth data collection from
documents, data analysis by synthesizing content by organizing The results of the
study can be summarized as follow : Forest intrusion to bring the land to grow
agricultural crops and increase the number of wild elephants is the main factor that
causes Wild elephants come out to eat in the agricultural areas of villagers in Tabsai
Subdistrict,Pongnamron District, Chantaburi Province. Guidelines for managing wild
elephants for a healthy coexistence Between people and wild elephants ,Tabsai
Subdistrict can be divided into 2 levels. as follows Guidelines for short-term
management of wild elephants By digging a trench of elephants Creating a sling fence ค
for elephants Creating water resources, in the forest area to adequately support the
lives of wild elephants. and Guidelines for long-term management of wild elephants
with land use planning Moving wild elephants out of areas with dense elephant
populations Inhibition of forest destruction The establishments of a working group to
manage the ploblems of wild elephants directly, with a Government agency as the
main host to handle such problems.
