For this research, the researcher aimed to educate and analyze the
system of Special Operations of the Royal Thai Armed Forces (RTARF). This Research
is qualitative research by descriptive analysis from document as primary data and
interview of the experts that ever served in the special operation units of the Armed
Forces and the Royal Thai Police as well as the Officers that were assigned
concerning joint special operations. In fact, the development of special operation
system was made by the Royal Thai Armed Forces and has been implemented.
The constructions for operating were organizedas the Special Operation Sections in
the Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters both in normal works and field
Operations as well as the construction of the Joint Special Operation Task Forces
(JSOTF) was made as the draft. Furthermore, the conceptual frameworks for
coordinating or joint operating among the special operational units from the Armed
Forces and the Royal Thai Police were made also.The objectives of this reserve consist
of 3items namely 1) to educate conceptual framework 2) to educatethe system of the
special operations of the Royal Thai Armed Forces and 3) to present this research as one
part of developing the special operation system of the Royal Thai Armed Forces.
The Research has shown that the constructions of the sections for Joint Operations
should be reorganized as well as personnel and knowledge management should
beimproved to ensure combat readiness and effective Joint Special Operations of Special Operation Forces to deal with all challenges. For the construction of JSOTF
that was set as the draft in the national defense plan and the standard of procedure
(SOP) are suitable and theyshould be reviewed for crisis action planning. In case of
knowledge development, the joint special operations must be set as study courses
and exercises in all levels by the RTARF HQ.
