Recognizing the necessity to adapt to the newest digitalization
developments, this research project aims to analyse and synthesis the barriers and
challenges of human resource management and development (HRM&D). It also aims
to gain insight into the facilitating and limiting factor based on the digital economy of
Thailand's 4.0 policy.
The results of the study showed that ecosystems of innovation including
financial capital, infrastructure and research and development (RD) create the
opportunities for human resource development practices in escaping the middle
class income gap. Moreover, the study also indicated the need of public education
for the change of global economic landscape. In addition, innovation such as data
analytics and adaptive mindset is also essential to increase efficiency and
productivity in the digital era.
